Sister Jones introduced participants to a series of short cuts using new Familysearch updates. Sisters learned how to easily access their own ancestral lines, including easier, faster temple submission, step by step ways to fix problems, add photos, understand the use of reliable sources including the use of shortcuts to data entry approved by Family Search. This session included helpful easy to follow step by step handouts with visuals and explanation. The handouts are below:
Dawna Taylor Jones’ has served a total of 6 years in Family History service including two full time FH Missions. As the Current Poway Stake Temple and Family History Consultant with husband Ruel E. Jones, Sister Jones is thrilled with recent developments and updates in the Church’s new Temple and Family History program. Since their stake calling two years ago, Brother and Sister Jones have personally trained well over 200 individual members, non-members,.and leaders. She echos Elder Dallin H. Oak’s counsel and encourages all members “given their individual and family circumstances to 1. Rid themselves of “genealogy guilt” and 2. Whenever possible, receive the “one-on-one” help from ward consultants necessary to achieve their own temple and family history goals.
